Reclaiming and Retaining Joy

Friday, October 11, 2024 - 1:00pm
Work in education is difficult and meaningful and I was certain it would bring me joy.  And it did for a while…until I experienced severe burnout. I was ashamed about the stress, overwhelm, resentment, and exhaustion that I was experiencing, and I worried I would never experience joy again.

In this session, I will share my journey through burnout, in healing, and in returning from sabbatical amid a global pandemic. We will talk about the strategies I use that allowed me to reclaim and now retain my joy; show up for myself and others with greater clarity, purpose, and hope; and experience the best years of work and life, even in a stressful world.

I invite you to take this hour to join the conversation. Let’s find ways to do this work and life more joyfully! You are worth it.
